Install the RMM agent

Deploy the Allocentra agent on Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints.

The Allocentra agent collects telemetry, runs patch scans, executes remote commands, and enables remote control. Install one agent per device you want to monitor.

Before you install

  • MSP workspaces: create a client first, then assign the agent to that client during install.
  • Internal IT: agents attach directly to your workspace.
  • Outbound HTTPS (443) to api.allocentra.co.za is required.

Windows

  1. Dashboard → Agents → Add agent
  2. Select the client and download the Windows installer (.bat or MSI for bulk deploy).
  3. Run the installer and approve the UAC prompt — enrollment is automatic.
  4. The device appears in Agents within 1–2 minutes if online.

Linux & macOS

  1. Download the shell installer from Add agent.
  2. Run with root privileges: sudo bash install-allocentra-agent.sh
  3. Confirm the agent checks in on the Agents page.

Verify the agent is healthy

  • Online — agent checked in within the last few minutes.
  • Offline — no recent check-in; device may be powered off or blocked from the network.
  • Never connected — installer ran but no telemetry received yet; wait or reinstall.
